Taking his cue from Beckett’s idea of the theatre as a medium and from Bernard Stiegler’s reflections on human technics as a process of exteriorisation of humanness, Worthen talks us through a volume that moves from the zoomed-in space of the face on screen to immersive practices in which the audience becomes part of the spectacle in productions of Shakespare. This conversation was recorded on 06.10.2020.
